Good for the Bees represented NYC as one of nine makers from across the U.S. picked to partner with Madewell’s Hometown Heroes Collective. Her prints were best sellers.

It’s perfect. I grew up in NYC and I wanted to frame some kind of city map, this was a great twist, everyone has a pic of buildings but no one has a map of parks. It’s a conversation piece on my wall now.

Easy, confidence-boosting, rewarding.
We were blown away by what Zara delivered. Her deep listening skills, and let’s be honest, masterful talent with a brush, delivered an end product that really reflected us and what we were looking for, but also had our audience engaged and impressed.
— Nate Arnold, San Francisco, CA
Exciting, Reliable, Creative! Every time Zara has been wonderful to work with, receptive to feedback, and timely. The end product is always beautiful and I am already thinking of the next project I’d like to collaborate with Zara on!

Climate Change @ Columbia University

Good for the Bees developed the digital storytelling and way finding visuals for the For the Future(s) course: design thinking for uncertain times. This course is part of the Digital Storytelling Lab at Columbia University, is delivered 100% virtually to a global student audience, and was featured at SXSW!

Zara was a key collaborator in our pre-college program in Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies. Her live workshop drawings and commissioned pieces helped us create a connected and robust learning environment for our students!

Women’s History

Did you know researchers have estimated that only 0.5% of recorded history is devoted to women’s stories?

The #WomensHistoryBees project is dedicated to telling the stories of trailblazing women from our past and present, highlighting one woman and a quote that embodies their impact each day throughout the month of March. Click the hashtag to follow along on this three year project on Instagram.
